The next regular military payday is Monday, 15 April 2024.
If you receive an active duty military paycheck, then that’s the day you’ll get paid – unless you use a bank or credit union that offers early direct deposit of military pay as a benefit to their members.
Read on to find out when you’re going to get paid.
Long Pay Period Warning
If you get paid on any day other than the actual pay period, your next pay period is going to be LONG. If you get paid on Thursday, 11 April 2024, your next payday will be Monday, 29 April 2024. If you get paid on Friday, 12 April 2024, your next payday will be Tuesday, 30 April 2024. If your budget is stretched already, it will be stretched even more when there are 18 days between paydays. Plan ahead.
USAA Military Pay Date
USAA credits military pay deposits TWO business days early.
That means that USAA members should see their pay deposited on Thursday, 11 April 2024.
Some folks might remember that USAA used to credit military pay deposits one business day early. They moved to two business days early in December 2023.
Navy Federal Military Pay Dates
Because Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) checking accounts have different benefits, NFCU has two pay deposit dates depending on what type of account you use for your pay deposit. They also do this thing where you pay sometimes shows as pending before you actually get it. Sometimes for a day, sometimes for a few days, sometimes not at all.
NFCU Active Duty Checking offers to credit military pay of one business day prior to the actual payday.
That means that Navy Federal members using Active Duty Checking accounts will see their pay pending on Thursday, 11 March 2024, to be processed the deposit overnight with the pay available for use on Friday, 12 April 2024.
Because of the way that NFCU processes transactions, there is no way for a transaction to happen on a Monday. Therefore, Monday transactions get posted overnight on Friday night. Deposits are then available for use on Saturday morning. As this regular payday is on a Monday, NFCU members with accounts that are not Active Duty Checking accounts will see their pay pending on Friday, 12 April 2024, to be posted overnight and available for use on Saturday, 13 April 2024.
If you’re a Navy Federal member and you’re not currently using an Active Duty Checking account, you might want to switch. Active Duty Checking is available to active duty, National Guard, reserves, and retired members. This account has no fees and no minimum balance requirement. It reimburses up to $20 in ATM fees each month, and credits military pay deposits one business day early. You can also get free checks – if you still use checks for anything.
Service Credit Union Military Pay Date
Service Credit Union’s early crediting offer is “up to two business days” early. Your pay should be deposited on Thursday, 11 April 2024, per the Service Credit Union’s projections.
Marine Federal Credit Union
MFCU deposits military pay one business day prior to the actual military payday. MFCU members should see their military pay in their accounts on Friday, 12 April 2024.
Frontwave Credit Union
Frontwave Credit Union, formerly Camp Pendleton Credit Union, credits military pay deposits two business days prior to the actual payday. Therefore, Frontwave members should see their March 2024 mid-month military pay in their accounts on Thursday, 11 April 2024.
First Heroes National Bank
A division of First National Bank Texas, First Heroes National Bank credits military pay one business day prior to the actual payday. This means that customers should see their military pay deposited on Friday, 12 April 2024.
Armed Forces Bank
Armed Forces Bank, based out of Fort Leavenworth, credits military pay one business day prior to the actual payday. For this pay period, that will be Friday, 12 March 2024.
