Synopsis
Aunt Sally's Christmas Cookie Company is sold to a large conglomerate and executive Hannah must seal the deal and shut down the factory, which is the small town of Cookie Jar's lifeblood. What was supposed to be a simple assignment for Hannah becomes complicated when she meets Jake, the factory owner who's determined to keep the factory in town. Despite not being a fan of the holiday, the Christmas spirit in this small town is infectious and she gets swept up in the joy of the season while also falling in love with Jake.

It's shocking how many times the people say the town name. But it's kind of to be expected in a Hallmark movie.
The ending *spoiler---hahaha* how she saves the cookie company from moving is rather ridiculous. I mean even more ridiculous than usual for a Hallmark movie. I was laughing so hard. It was great.
But otherwise pretty standard Hallmark stuff. The two leads were decent though. That's really what matters.

There are only a handful of story templates for Hallmark movies and Christmas Cookies is classic Hallmark in that regard. Hannah Harper (Jill Wagner) is an executive for a national food company who is tasked to travel to the adorably named town of Cookie Jar to close a deal to purchase the family company Aunt Sally's Christmas Cookies. She meets the current proprietor (Wes Brown) and predictability ensues.
All of the inhabitants of this small town are so wholesome and perfect, as if they're straight out of Christmas greeting cards, and given that this is Hallmark they basically are. They have strong family values and don't want to see the small business get taken over by corporate greed. Can Hannah…

My thoughts when reading the description was, seriously (with an eye roll) This movie was much better than I thought it would be. Wes Brown is probably the most charming man on the planet! I would even add this movie to my list of Hallmark Christmas movies to watch each year.
