39 of My Favorite Thanksgiving Recipes (1)

It’s November 1st, and while I’m over the moon about the fact that there is now Christmas music available on satellite radio, we still have another holiday to tackle before we begin decking the halls… and Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away!

While Christmas has my heart as far as holidays go, Thanksgiving is my very favorite food holiday… there is nothing better than hitting the couch on Thanksgiving evening in a total food coma! While turkey is always front and center of the dinner spread, I prefer to take a small piece and fill my plate with a variety of side dishes and of course leave room for dessert(s)!

I have SO MANY Thanksgiving recipes here on the site, but I narrowed them down to my very favorites for you today. [You can find ALL of the turkey day recipes that are on the site here >> Thanksgiving Recipes.]

I hope you find something here that you can add to your menu this year… so many great choices!

I have prepared Thanksgiving Dinners for over fifty years. The most requested food is cream peas and a seven layer salad.

I made a Thanksgiving recipe probably 20 years ago that was called “Harvest Cheesecake” and have been looking for the recipe ever since!! It was a cheesecake with apples on top. Had no caramel or salted caramel anywhere! Also, had no cranberries. It was like a really good apple pie filling on top of cheesecake. It didn’t sound that great when I made it, but after tasting I completely fell in love with the combination and haven’t had anything like it since! Do you have a recipe for a cheesecake that has apples on top?

Hi Bridgot, I’ve never made one like that, but I’ll do some digging around, it sounds fantastic!

The only thing missing from this list, especially if ham is being served in addition to or instead of turkey, is your scalloped potatoes. Best ever!

Every year I make your cornbread stuffing; we all love it. And the cloverleaf rolls grace every holiday; they are by far the best rolls I’ve ever made!

Thanksgiving is my favorite food holiday, but am just as excited for leftovers of the meal as the meal, itself. This is a great list and thanks for sharing!

I think I am going to use your cranberry sauce recipe, add a splash of Grand Marnier and cook it in my Instant Pot. You have GOT to get you one of these Michelle, especially with your growing family. Saves SO much time!
